SpotDot is an app designed to encourage you to use online social media as a way to reconnect with real people, in real life. Your photo posts become geo-tagged “Spot”, letting real life friends or followers know that you’re nearby and what you’re up to.

What sets SpotDot apart is that you only receive content posted by contacts who’re currently in your hyper-local area, so each shout is a fresh and real time opportunity for you to catch up with them in person.

Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The GPS is only activated in short pulses to extend battery life.
